Thought For Today

30-Jan-2004

Isaiah 40:28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

Isaiah 40:29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Isaiah 40:30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Understanding Isaiah 40:28 is not hard to do, ask God with believing in your heart, and he will show you the meaning of the scriptures!

God is forever, he always has been, and he always will be! He never tires, he is never confused, he is never doubtful, he is all knowing, he understands all, he is the Maker of all things! Nothing would be that is if God had not made it!

He understands us, he knows our hearts, our feelings, our dreams, our desires, he knows everything there is to know about us! He knows when we are feeling down, and Isaiah 40:29 says that He giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. This means that anytime you are facing a difficult time in your life, anytime you are feeling depressed, or down, or hurt, or aggrevated, or frustrated, or any kind of feeling that is not good, all you need to do is ask God for power, and strength over the situation, and know that he is all caring, know that he only wants good things to happen to you, know that he loves you so much he allowed his only son to suffer and die for you! Know that God can fix the problem, because he can!!

Isaiah 40:30 Even the youth shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: No one is exempt! No one can achieve God's plan for their lives by themselves! Everyone shall experience troubles in their lives, even the youth will become depressed, even the youth will face difficult times in their lives, the youth will be frustrated, aggrevated, hurt, and put down by their elders!

We as christians need to get as close to God as we can, and we need to uplift our young people, we need to introduce them to Jesus. They need to know that there is a way to face this world we live in today, we need to show them love, and caring, and understanding! If the older people try harder to understand the youth, then the teen suicide rate would drop drastically, the teen pregnacy rate would drop drastically, the number of teens drinking alcohol would drop tremendously.

We expect them to understand us, yet we give no thought to understanding them!! Many children and young adults are treated like second class christians! They come second after the older members of the church or not at all!

God is no respector of persons!! If God sees us all the same, and we are to strive to be as Jesus, then how can we treat the youth in the churches as if they are not as important as the older christians and still claim to be striving to be as Jesus??

Isaiah 40:31 Tells me that those of us that wait upon the Lord will have nothing to worry about! If we put our trust in God, and know he will make everything alright, then we will make it through this life with a glorious eternal existence awaiting us, and all that is required to claim this glorious eternal existence is to believe God, believe his word, believe in his love, and truth. Exercise our faith!!
